Lonnie Dill says he is the luckiest man alive.
“I get to live with my parents and play with trains,” he proudly said while showing off one of his sets of model railroads that he will show this Sunday are part of the Columbus Garden Railway Society’s Garden Tour.
The main attraction on the annual metro-wide tour is his Disneyland model railroad featuring the monorail, Cinderella’s Castle, Tomorrowland, and a cast of Disney characters. Dill says he expects to have about 300 people visit his East Home Street home on their way to three other garden model railroads in or near Westerville.
The event is free with a few warnings. “Smokers please ask permission; locomotives may smoke at will.”
Also on the tour is the Ross Heron Memorial Railroad on East Mary Avenue.
