2 chicks And A Cookie off to the Emmys in New York CityIt’s all in the swag for 2 Chicks And A Cookie when the Uptown Westerville baker’s decorative and tasty cookies are included in gift bags given to Emmy nominees and their guests at the News and Documentary Emmys in New York City next week.

Gina Crabtree, owner of 2 Chicks And A Cookie, thought one of her friends was pulling a practical joke when she received a phone call asking her to participate in the high profile annual awards in the Big Apple.

When she investigated the possibility she learned it wasn’t a practical joke. Her cookies are invited to the Emmys.

Crabtree baked 800 cookies to be included in the $50,000 swag bags presented to Emmy nominees.

2 Chicks And A Cookie began as a home baking business and recently opened its first store in the brick walkway beside Java Central on South State Street.

This isn’t the first time the store’s cookies have been to New York. Crabtree recently send a batch of specially designed cookies to a baby shower for a well-known athlete in the city. This time her cookies will arrive with a more personal tough than shipping them. She and her husband are driving the 800 cookies to New York to make sure they arrive in perfect condition.

Among the other gifts are a trip to Bali, gym memberships, all sorts of health and beauty products, a luxury mattress, and a $1,500 psychic reading.
